A month on from the Croatian round and the Women's European Championship gears up for its season finale, the WEC riders ready to battle it out all the way to the line at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola.
Both of the Grobnik races were won by Polish rider Patrycja Sowa #14, but the championship remains open, with three competitors still in the fight for the title of European Champion. Leading the way in the standings is Spaniard Natalia Rivera #2 who, with three wins and three podiums, has been out front since the very first Misano round. Just three points behind her is Sowa, who did well to triumph in three of the four non-Italian races. A little further back, but still very much in the mix, is Josephine Bruno #80. With 29 points to make up, the Italian will go all out at a track she knows well, perhaps better than her closest rivals. There’s no doubt that spectators are in for an exciting weekend.
The Women's European Championship riders will take on one of Italy’s most technical and prestigious circuits. Inaugurated in 1953, the track initially became known for its motorcycling racing, particularly the Imola 200 Miles held between 1972 and 1985. Measuring 4.909 kilometres in length and incorporating nineteen tricky corners, the track will pose a challenge for the riders, who will line up for not just one race, but two, so a double round with double the surprises!
The action will kick off on Friday with free practice and Qualifying 1. The second qualifying will run on Saturday, followed by Race 1 at 16:35, while Race 2 will get underway on Sunday at 12:30. The “MBE Round” promises more high-octane excitement!

Gran Finale di stagione ad Imola per il MBE WEC Round
Ad un mese dalla tappa europea della Croazia, il Women’s European Championship andrà in scena per l’ultimo entusiasmante round nell’Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, nel quale le ragazze del WEC si sfideranno fino all’ultima curva.
Dopo la manche di Grobnik, in cui a vincere entrambe le gare è stata la polacca Patrycja Sowa #14, il campionato si trova ancora aperto con ben tre atlete pronte alla battaglia finale per conquistare il titolo di Campionessa Europea. In testa alla classifica la spagnola Natalia Rivera #2 che, con ben 3 vittorie e 3 podi, detiene la leadership fin dal primissimo round di Misano. A soli 3 punti di distacco la polacca Sowa che è stata la vera sorpresa dei round europei con 3 vittorie su 4. Un po’ più staccata, ma ancora in lizza per titolo, Josephine Bruno #80. L’Italiana, a 29 punti dalla vetta, si giocherà il tutto per tutto in una delle piste che conosce bene rispetto alle sue avversarie. Insomma, la battaglia ed il divertimento sono assicurati.
Le pilote del campionato femminile Europeo affronteranno uno dei circuiti più tecnici e maestosi del panorama italiano. Il circuito di Imola é stato inaugurato nel 1953 e deve la sua iniziale notorietà al motociclismo, in particolare alla 200 Miglia di Imola disputatasi tra il 1972 e il 1985. Questo tracciato è noto per i suoi 4.909 metri di lunghezza e le sue diciannove curve insidiose. Le ragazze, qui, non si misureranno solo in una gara, bensì in due, quindi doppio round e doppie sorprese!
L'azione inizierà venerdì con il primo turno di prove libere e la Qualifica 1. Sabato secondo turno di qualifiche e gara 1 alle 16:35. Infine, domenica alle 12:30 si disputerà Gara2, anche il Motorbike Expo Round promette un weekend super adrenalinico!!!
